Right....Down to what I have made for Challenge #27 - Favourite Book

I haven't got a specific favourite book, however I love Zombie books and films....To the point of being addicted to them. This make is to depict Zombie books in general...

The backing image is 'The Dark Forest', and the main image is 'I'm Ba-aack!'. I coloured them both with WHSmiths colouring pencils.

The backing paper is from M&Co and I used a distress stamp along the side edges, and then a distressing tool on all of the layers. I sprayed with distressing ink and did a page rip and curled the edges.

The backing I sprayed with red mica powder mixed with red distressing ink and a bit of water. I wanted the look of sprayed blood.

The sentiment is stamped with wooden peg alphabet stamps and sprayed with the same spray as the backing image.
I finished off with metal caps in the corner of the sentiment and backing image.

I hope you will pop over to the Left Of Centre Creative Challenges Blog to join in with this great challenge, and the exciting month long 1 year Birthday Celebrations.

Thank you for your wonderful visits and comments

I'm not a fan of zombie things as a rule, but your colouring of this one is amazing. You've got the knack of colouring with the WHSmiths pencils.

I can't believe that this has simply been coloured in with pencils - it's fabulous!! You have really captured the feel of this dark scene- the blood splatter looks so real. As you know, it's not my style, but you have done this subject a treat - it would draw any avid Zombie reader - well done you!
xx
