Well, I have to admit that I messed up.... My previous post wasn't meant to go live until today.... Due to my mistake, I made a second project using an image from Sassy Studio Designs called
"Sassy Studios Pin Up Martini Girl"
This image is not only girly but it is fun and very versatile for many occasions.

Here is what I made for the Girly Challenge - Second Project lol

Items Used:

- Paper From my Stash
- 7x7 card blank
- Mirri Board
- Ribbon From My stash
- Glossy Accents
- Sassy Studio Designs Pin Up Martini Girl
- Faber-Castell Pencils
- Flowers in different colours and sizes
- Craftwork Cards Card Candi
- Flat Backed Gems

I totally had to glossy accent the glass to give it a glass look. I think this has worked really well.
I like this card as she looks a little tipsy and fun.....

I hope you will all join the Girly Challenge over on the Left Of Center Creative Challenges Blog....Remember, it doesn't have to be dark!!

It was so hard to choose an image to use for this challenge as both companies have so many absolutely amazing images. I had to dwindle them down to my top 5 and then do a name out of the hat jobbie to choose for me.
I was luckily enough to have chosen 'Aurora' Spring Butterfly, and here she is...

She is totally stunning and my mind just flooded with ideas of what I could do with her....

Here is what I made for the Girly Challenge

Items Used:

- Craftwork Cards Paper Pack
- 6x6 Scalloped Card Blank made into an easel card
- Backing bard from my stash
- Ribbon From My stash
- Glossy Accents
- The East Wind Digi Image 'Aurora Spring Butterfly
- WHSmiths Colouring Pencils
- White paper roses in various sizes
- Mica Powder mixed with water to spray flowers
- White Satin Leaves
- White Pear Spray
- White babies breath sprigs

When I saw the finished card, I have to admit I was so happy with it that I nearly cried. I have made so many darker items lately, that seeing something so pretty and flowery and girly really made me happy.

A Step In The Dark Challenge #2

Welcome fellow Bloggers, Crafters and Friends.

WOW that first two weeks went so quickly. Thank you to everyone who showed me such amazing support on my first post for A Step In The Dark Challenge Blog.

Again, I understand that the dark themes aren't to everyone's tastes, but you have all supported me and left such brilliant feedback on my techniques used etc....It means so much to me.

The theme for A step In The Dark's Challenge #2 is..... "Anything Goes/Purple"

Our Amazing sponsors for this challenge are The East Wind and Make It Crafty

I chose to use an Image from The East Wind called Lucy Loo Love Letter 2.

Here is what I have made.....

The spiders web and Skeleton Frame were both cut using my cameo.
The backing card was sprayed with purple and black mica inks. I then drew my own border with a thin black pen and used wiggly lines .

I coloured the image with WHSmiths colouring pencils. I cut it down to fit in the frame and distressed it with black soot TH distress Ink and sprayed with the same mica sprays as on the backing. I then added black flat backed gems to the corners.

I used a selection of paper roses with a black feather and some black wired bead sprays. I added some skeleton leaves and a hat pin. I know skeleton leaves aren't that fashionable anymore, however I LOVE them so will use them lol
I finished the card off by embossing a wooden skull and crossbones.

A Step In The Dark only accepts dark, punk, emo, gothic, cute scary, steampunk etc entries, so I know for a fact this challenge wont appeal to most of my followers..... However, I hope that it will appeal to the dark lovers that visit my blog.

Thank you once again for visiting my blog and leaving such lovely comments...

Left Of Centre, Just For Fun and Punk You Girl

Welcome fellow Bloggers, Crafters and Friends.

Sorry Folks, this is gonna be a long one lol
I have three Design Team Pieces to share with you today..... I will do them separately as they are  totally different types of Challenge Blogs.

_________________________________________________________________________

It is time for the Left Of Center Mid Challenge Inspirational post.... The theme this time around is
"Card For A Male"

Remember, you don't have to to make anything dark, as long as you stick to the theme. If you do make something dark, it can be anything you like....

The Left Of Center offer fortnightly challenges. We are very lucky to have an amazing list of Sponsors who offer wonderful prizes to our winners.....

We have two brilliant sponsors this time. The first is Ike's Art and the second is Dilly Beans

Both of these companies have sponsored us for a while and are absolutely amazing. The both have gorgeous images that colour wonderfully and look amazing on any project. We are very lucky to have their support and images.

So, Challenge #31 - Card for a Male. For this challenge, I chose to use an image from Dilly Beans, but it was a very hard choice to choose between the two.
The image I chose from Dilly Beans was "Bolt Robot Frame" as I wanted to make my card for a younger male.

Here is what I made.....

As you can see, the image is brilliant and perfect for a young boy. I coloured him in with WHSmiths colouring pencils and did a random background so there wasnt so much white on show. I used a white rangers pen to highlight areas.
I used a cog stencil and sprayed a light blue mica spray over the top to give it a broken up shimmer (You can just see the shape of a cog on the robot head). The image was backed on black card.

The main backing sheet is a 12x12 cog design backing paper, which I matted with the same black card as the other layers.
I used the same cog stencil, and covered it with Black Sparkle Medium. This is the first time I have used it and absolutely loved it. I was too impatient to allow this to dry naturally..so I might have hurried it along with my heat gun...Shhhhhhh
I backed this in the black card.
The strip of cogs is made with a lot of black sparkly cog peel-offs that I have had in my stash for a while.
I finished with some black Card Candi and a black Birthday peel-off sentiment.

I really like the blue and the sparkly black in this card. To me, the robot looks quite cute lol

I hope you like this card and it will maybe give you the push you needed to join in the challenge yourself....Remember, it doesn't have to be dark, it just has to fit the theme!

Here is the link to the Left Of Center Challenge Blog again, so no excuses....Chop chop....

Its mid month so that means only one thing...... Mid way inspiration post for the Just For Fun Challenge Blog!

Our Challenges are monthly and Run from the 1st of each month, with a mid way inspirational post on the 16th of each month.

We have nice easy themes, that can be adapted to be used in any form of crafting. We accept all forms of crafting, as long as it fits our challenge themes.

This months Just For Fun theme is "Ribbon/Lace", so a really nice and easy one.

Here is what I have made.....

I have used a Lelli-Bot Crafts Topper from the Radiant Butterflies Kit. This kit is beautiful and very versatile. I have matched this with a backing paper from my stash, and a lovely frame that I cut on my Cameo.
I chose to use some lace that is thick and gorgeous and worked well with the other colours of the card.
The butterfly embellishments and the roses and bow are all from the Lelli-Bot Crafts Radiant Butterfly Embellishment Box.
The finishing pieces of the card are Craftwork Cards Card Candi.

I hope you like this card and it has given you the little kick you needed to maybe join in with the Just For Fun Ribbon/Lace Challenge Blog.

Its mid month so that means Mid way inspiration post for the PunkYouGirl Challenge Blog!

PunkYouGirl is a monthly Dark Themed Challenge Blog.
We are dark themed, so want to see all your dark themed entries. We don't want fluffy and cute, we want dark/gothic/punk/alternative/grunge etc....

We are extremely lucky to have a great list of Sponsors who offer some wonderful prizes to our winners.

This months Sponsor is the amazingly talented Delicious Darkness / Delicious Doodles

This months Challenge is #12 - Things With Wings

Here is what I made using Delicious Darkness's Steam Punk Fairy.

I coloured the image with WHSmiths colouring pencils. The wings I used glitter pen and a glaze pen. The glaze pen I added some texture to it so it looked like veined textured wings. I also added glazing to the eyes, earring and arm cuff.

The backing paper is from Craftwork Cards paper pad called 'Time Flys' and it is gorgeous. I mounted this on purple card. The image I counted onto purple cordination card which I embossed a spiders webb design onto, and then mounted it all onto black card.
The spiders webb I cut on my Silhouette Cameo along with the gorgeous spider, which I sprayed with gold mica spray.

This isn't a DARK card, but it is in a dark theme. I think the image is too pretty to make into a really dark card.
