So.... Now to show you what I have made......

I used my trusty water colour pencils again, and I think I got quite good shading with them.

I wanted to make a modern and colourful card. The wonderful image gave me plenty of opportunity to use lots of different colours.

The paper is from one of the many 12x12 pads in my stash. I embossed it with an embossing folder to give it some texture.

The flowers I added some basin detailing with a thin ink pent, which I also used to put a border around the image and sentiment.

This card was finished off with some twine, card candi and flat backed gems.

I like the boldness of this card.

Thank you everyone for visiting, and I hope my card has inspired you to pop over to the LEJ Designs Challenge Blog and join in with the wonderful 'ANYTHING GOES' theme....

Just For Fun Octobers Buttons and Bows

Welcome fellow Bloggers, Crafters and most importantly, Friends.... Thank you once again for visiting my blog.

The Just For Fun Challenge Blog is a monthly Challenge Blog. We have two teams, Team A who post their makes on the 1st of the month, and Team B who post their makes on the 16th of the month.
Both teams are there to make projects designed to inspire you to join in with our fun challenges.

As you can tell by the date of my post, I am on Team B, providing mid month inspirations.
This months theme is 'Buttons and Bows' so its a nice easy theme for you. This means, you can make anything, as long as it contains these two items.

As the Challenge Blog name suggests, our Challenges are 'Just for Fun', however we do sometimes have wonderful prizes donated by our very talented Design Team.
This month, we have had a prize donated, and here it is:

The winner of the challenge will win some of the gorgeous LEJ Designs Digi Images. There is also a small crafting prize which is provided by one of our wonderful sponsors (please see main blog posts for the sponsor details).

So.... Now to show you what I have made......

I absolutely love this image. It is fun and really great to colour.

I coloured the image with some water colour pencils and a thin water brush. I have really gotten into my water colour pencils as they can get into really find detailing and they blend so perfectly.

I used a gold pearlised card as the matting, and two different clues to match the colour in the ladies top.
I embossed the main backing layer and then punched out the bingo balls with a 1.5" circle punch.
I put a broken border line on the image and the balls with a thin blue ink pen, and used a gold marker pen for the bingo numbers.
I arranged the image, border stripe and bingo balls and stuck them all down with glue and 1" foam pads.
I finished off the card with matching gold card candi.

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges....

Challenges For Everybody - Anything Goes - Ends 25th October
Robyns Fetish - Square Cards Only - Ends 19th October
Scribble & Scrap #3 - Always Anything Goes - Ends 19th October

(bingo balls were punched using a 1.5" circle punch).

Thank you everyone for visiting, and I hope my card has inspired you to pop over to the LEJ Designs Challenge Blog and join in with the wonderful 'Celebrate' theme....

Baby Card and Gorjuss!

Welcome fellow bloggers, crafters and friends... Thank you for the visit.

All of these cards were made for the 'one word wonder' over on the Mad Crafters Giggles Facebook group.

Sundays theme was 'lace' and this is what I came up with......

The image is a gorjuss one. I used a textured black backing card, red card from my stash and some red elastic lace.
I embellished with some heart diecuts from Marianne designs, wired beads, feather, flower and red flat back gems.
I love the red and black together.

Mondays theme was 'country' and this is what I came up with......

I made the backing card with scattered straw and brushed corduroy Tim Holtz distress inks, and then splashed with water to give it an even more distressed look.
I shaped the top of the card by drawing round the topper and cutting it out.
I edged the card with a brown thin nibbed pen.
The topper is a hunkydory one from my stash.
I used hessian ribbon, brown satin ribbon and finished off with skeleton leaves and a sentiment.
Not sure on this card, but I love the natural feel.

Today's theme was 'baby' and this is what I came up with......

I used a sheet of gingham card from my stash and a sheet of green that matched the image.
I used a marrieanne designs die for the frame.
I stamped the bottle, dummy and  wording with Tim Holtz bundled sage distress ink and cut them out and backed with the same green.
Finished off with green and pale yellow flat backed pearls and two coloured safety pins.
I have to say, I love how this one has turned out!

Thank you for the lovely comments people have been leaving me, they all mean a huge amount....

SeemaCrafts Challenge Blog

WOW get me, two posts in one day!
(This post was meant to be published earlier, however I seem to have messed up the scheduling lol).

Pinch, punch, first day of the month and no returns!
Seeing as today is the first of a brand new month, that means one thing....a great new Challenge Theme over of SeemaCrafts Challenge Blog
'Autumn Colours'.

The entry doesn't have to be autumn themed, but it must be made with those gorgeous autumn colours
Browns
Rich reds
Golds
Oranges
Greens
Bronzes

This month you can win a £10 voucher to spend in the wonderful SeemaCrafts Shop!!!
Seema, the owner of SeemaCrafts, makes wonderful embellishments as well as having some gorgeous stock in her online shop.
She is generously giving this prize as we have reached 150 followers YAY

This month, I wanted to make something that was totally not autumn or season related, but using the gorgeous colours.
Here is what I made....

I matted and layers using some textured Matt gold mirri card and some wood look paper from a limited edition paper pad.

The digi image was one I found in my computer folders, however I don't know who the designer is...if you do, please let me know so I can update my blog to give them some well deserved credit!
I am so so pleased with how the image came out. The colouring looks full of depth and well blended...(if I do say so myself).

I used some peel offs which I haven't used for agesssss.
I also cut some bunting with a gorgeous Joy Crafts die.

I wanted to achieve a card that was perfect for younger boys, and I think I did that.

I really hope this has inspired you to pop over to the SeemaCrafys blog to enter their Challenge....what a fantastic bonus of the £10 voucher this month....

Thank you to everyone who visits my blog and shows me continued support.
