Left Of Centre - Challenge #33

Welcome to all my lovely fellow Bloggers, Crafters and most importantly Friends.
I would like to thank every single one of you for your continued support and encouragement.
I know I have changed my way of crafting slightly, however I like to think that I have an even balance between the darker stuff and the normal stuff.

Today see's the Mid-Way Inspiration for Challenge #33 - Favourite Film over on the

Left Of Center Creative Challenges offer fortnightly challenges. We have a post at the start of the challenge and then a mid-way inspirational post a week later.
We have a set theme, however if you choose to make something alternative/dark/gothic/punk etc then you can do an anything goes make.

We have a HUGE amount of AMAZING sponsors and this Challenge is Sponsored by the very talented

I chose to use a brilliant image from The Stamping Chef, called Sophie Spitfire, which you will find here -

The reason I picked the image I did was because it reminded me of Amelia Earhart character in 'A Night At The Museum 2'.
I thought both Night at the Museum films were hilarious and very clever.
I know that Amelia Earhart didn't fly this type of aircraft, in fact she lived way before this type of aircraft was even designed and built lol

Here is what I have made for Challenge #33 - Favourite Film

What I have Used

- 8x8 Card Blank
- Textured 12x12 card stock
- Cameo Silhouette Cutter for the clouds, sentiment and frame
- Time Holtz Glitter stickles
- WHSmiths Colouring Pencils
- Glossy Accents
- Flat Backed Gems
- Black Peeloff Alphabet

Challenge #33 launched a week ago , so this is just a little added inspiration to hopefully encourage you to join in with the fun.

Left Of Center also has a facebook group, that we would love you to join. This group is to show your Left Of Center makes and chat to like minded crafty people

I hope you will all join the Girly Challenge over on the Left Of Center Creative Challenges Blog....Remember, it doesn't have to be dark!!

A Step In The Dark - Challenge #3

Welcome fellow Bloggers, Crafters and Friends.

Thank you to everyone who showed me such amazing support on my posts for A Step In The Dark Challenge Blog.

Again, I understand that the dark themes aren't to everyone's tastes, but you have all supported me and left such brilliant feedback on my techniques used etc....It means so much to me.

The theme for A step In The Dark's Challenge #2 is..... "Anything Goes"

Our Amazing sponsors for this challenge are Dilly Bean Stamps

I couldn't pick between two images, so I made two projects for this challenge hahaha I don't know why I give myself so much extra work!!!

The images I chose are -

A Little Monster

Framed Bat Ghoul

Here is what I have made.....

What I used -

- Dilly Beans Image
- Tim Holtz Distress Ink
- Tim Holtz Halloween Diecut
- BoBunny Halloween Paper Pad
- Bat Diecuts
- WHSmiths Colouring Pencils
- Flat Backed Gems
- White Pen
- Mica Spray

What I Used -

- Dilly Beans Image
- Faber-Castell Pencils
- Wall Filler
- Mica Sprays Various Colours
- Black Cardstock
- Black Flat Backed Gems
Diecuts from the Cameo Silhouette

I Like to think that these are the fun and colourful side of Dark, and not scary or gory. I like the dark dark makes but I think it only suits certain images, and neither of these are suited to that.

A Step In The Dark only accepts dark, punk, emo, gothic, cute scary, steampunk etc entries, so I know for a fact this challenge wont appeal to most of my followers..... However, I hope that it will appeal to the dark lovers that visit my blog.

Thank you once again for visiting my blog and leaving such lovely comments...

It was so hard to choose an image to use for this challenge as both companies have so many absolutely amazing images. I had to dwindle them down to my top 5 and then do a name out of the hat jobbie to choose for me.

She is totally stunning and my mind just flooded with ideas of what I could do with her....

Here is what I made for the Girly Challenge

- White paper roses in various sizes
- Mica Powder mixed with water to spray flowers
- White Satin Leaves
