Green Corset

I got some more stamps from eBay and had to have a play.

I have stamped the backing paper with two sized feather stamps and distressed it with forest moss distress ink. I have mounted it into dark green hammer card.

The sentiment is from the new stamp set but the happy birthday part is from the steam punk stamp set.

I stamped in versafine ink (I'm addicted to it at the moment) and then Colored the corset with the same color distress ink and paints some of the stamp with mica paint.
I distressed the sentiment and the corset toppers with distress ink and mounted both on the same color hammer green.

The shapes of the toppers are spellbinders labels.

The ribbon is from a local haberdashery shop and I added a feather colored with the ink, black roses and hat pins covered by a black flower.

I have added some black gems to the toppers and pearls to add some elegance.

I have tried something different with this card and I have to say I LOVE it!

A card I made today using a lot of distress ink and DoCraft products...

Hope you like it

Herb Garden

I am ahead of myself.....

Tomorrows Shendy challenge on CraftMess is to make anything featuring a garden for a male.

I have used Joanna Sheens 'in the heart of the garden'CD for the toppers and the backing paper. This CD has so many gorgeous images on and really must use it more.

I hope you like this card xxx

Vintage car

Today's challenge is to make anything that features a car.
I have used a hunkydory topper and card base, distressed the card base with vintage photo Tim Holtz distress ink and layered the backing card on silver mirri board.

I have used craftwork cards card candi and sentiment distressed with the same ink as the card base.

Hope you like it xxx

Vintage

Today's daily challenge over at CraftyMess was a card to include a vintage image, lace and yellow...

I admit I struggled with this as I never use images of people.

The image has been distressed with Tim Holtz distress ink and the flowers have glitter dots in the middle.

The backing paper has been steamed with urban stamps from DoCrafts and coloured in with distress inks and then the edges distressed.

Added embellishments and matted everything on antique gold card as I thought normal gold mirri was a bit bright.

I admit it turned out a lot better than I thought and I am pleased to say it was a winner.....

Played again with my steam punk stamps.
I used a Tim Holtz craft tag and stamped and heat embossed with clear embossing powder and gold mica.
I made a mask and distressed inked the card blank and used several different browns and stamps.
Stamped and embossed the sentiment and added the tag with foam tape.
Added card candi for embellishments.

Loving this inky crafting at the moment, hope you love my work xxx

Quicky - Pink Princess Card

Wow what a busy day I have had which meant I totally forgot the Ditzy-CraftMess Shendy challenge...

Started making at 20:45 and the challenge is judged at 21:00.
Wanting to enter, as pink is my colour, I made a very quick card.

Not all that happy with it but it is pink and it has a chubby pink princess on the front (not a typical Disney princess but a princess that I'd like to be).

Oh well, atleast I tried xxxx

Castle card for Shendy challenge

My first crafting for a while and I have done a castle card for the Shendy challenge over at Ditzy-CraftyMess.

I used my ultimate pro to emboss the bricks as the wooden door and then used a mixture of distress inks.

I hope you like this simple card....

Sorry I have been away

Sorry I haven't blogged for a while but I have had an eye infection that got out of control and affected most of my face.

I am happy to say that it is getting better by the day so hopefully in no time I will be back to full strength.

I have started to do a bit more crafting but I cannot use glitter or embossing powders etc that might get into either eye.

Shendy Fish Challenge

As its Easter Shendy set a fish themed challenge.

I have used crafters companion core'denations, pearlised vellum and k&co backing paper.

I cut out a fish from the left over backing sheet and coloured it in with cosmic shimmer inks and then deep embossed it. Made my own sentiment and backed it the same way.

Finished off by embellishing with a gem for the eye sparkle and card candi.

Best wishes order

I was asked to make a card for a couple who are not only retiring but are also moving abroad!

They wanted one similar to a bon voyage card I made for a Shendy challenge entry.

Hope they like it and I hope you do too!

The backing paper and postcard are from a k&co 12x12 paper pad and I distressed and ripped both. I distressed the edges with vintage photo and embossed the postcard. Embellished with hessian ribbon, black gems and leg less metal brad tips.

The panels have been mounted on distressed silver mirri card and the card base is linen effect card.

I have embellished with basic clear gems.

Hope you like this card as much as I do.

I have used a 6x6 card blank, covered 3/4 of it with a cog steam punk backing paper.
I have used a cog mask through the big shot and then distressed it with black distressing ink and sprayed with mica mist and dripped black watered down ink.
The cogs are die cuts covered in metallic embossing powder.
I have matted and layered on distressed mirri board which I have sanded the edges.
I embellished with card candi and metal legless brads.

Hope you like this card.

Shendys Daily Challenge - thank you card

This was my WINNING entry for one of Shendy's daily challenges over on Ditzycraftymess on Facebook.

I had this Magnolia Tilda image and waited for the right project to use it on. I wanted to make a very different thank you card and I think this turned out really nice.

What do you think? Xxx

Vellum and peeloff elegance

This card was inspired by a very talented crafter called Heidi Payne who owns her own craft shop in spalding as well as being on create and craft from time to time.

The card I think is very elegant and I used a balltool to colour in the peeloffa on vellum.

I love the black and white monochrome look as I think it can be used for ladies or men of any age! Hope you like it as much as I do xxx

For a very special Shendy

This card was made for a very special friend called Shendy who was unwell.

The A5 base is sprayed with mica mists.
The panel was stamped with and embossed to get the different textures and colours and then cut in three and mounted on blue mirri card.
I used a dark blue raffier ribbon and the leaves etc are all dies put through my bigshot.
I love this card and so did the lady it was made for :-)

Cog Birthday Boy Card 01/04/2012

This card was actually made on the 31/03/2012 as my entry to Shendy's daily challenge over on 'Ditzycraftymess' on Facebook. I am VERY happy to say that it came joint first!

I used an 8x8 Anita's white card base and stamped black kanban cogs all over and used various Tim Holtz distress inks around the edge.
The middle layer was a cog mask done with the same Tim Holtz inks as on the base card. After inking I then used versamark and sprinkled with Rangers extra thick clear embossing powder and heated.
Once dry I then distressed the areas left white to have an all over colour. This was then mounted on black mirri board.
The top layer was distressed around the outside with Tim Holtz ink again and then I used black glittery cog peeloffs. The corners then had eyelets used to decorate them. This was then also mounted on black mirri board. All layered on the card blank and several coloured card candi used down the side of the sentiment.

Hope you like it! Xxx

My First EVER ATCs 01/04/2012

I have been busy making 16 ATC's to send to the lovely Ditzy crafters I met in Hatfield last month.
As my visit was very last minute I was very unprepared so took everyone's addresses to be able to send some to them.

On the darker one I distressed the background with Tim Holtz old paper distress ink and then stamped the foliage with Tim Holtz crushed olive distress ink. I then used a beautiful triple butterfly stamp with Tim Holtz walnut stain distress ink and used a water brush to put some colour into a few of the butterflies.
Once they were all dry I stamped the wording and coloured the word 'friend' in with black mica.
The leaves were a die that I put through my bigshot and used pinflair glue to stick them down with the button on top and than added a gem to one corner as a bit of colour.
