Vintage with Red

Today's Daily Challenge on 'mad crafters giggles' was
"Vintage with something red".

I have had the mother of all headaches today, so decided to make a quick ATC to make sure I joined in.

I used an image from a vintage CD I purchased from eBay. I coated it lightly with clear embossing ink by Tim Holtz and covered in ultra thick embossing powder. I heated from the top as I wanted the dull old look to it.
I screwed the image up in my Jane and then distressed it with Victorian velvet to get in the cracks.

I drew a gold line around the red ATC base and glued the image on. Diecut a feint gold corner and spray glued it on, allowing some glue to seep through to make it look tarnished.

The rose I coloured with  shabby shutters distress reinker, water and tarnished rose mica powder all mixed in a spray bottle.

I finished off with a small piece if feather and some red and gold flat backed pearls.

I'd like to enter my ATC into the

Not a great make, however at least I joined in! I used to really enjoy making ATCs, however I haven't made any for a long time.....something I'm going to start making again!

Thank you for visiting my blog, you make my day reading all your comments.
